Kids with Carol, larry and Pat their service dogs

 

HERO DAY
GREENFIELD, NH

One day this spring, members of the Dog Guide Users Group headed to Greenfield Elementary where they had been invited to participate in Hero Day. Students attended several sessions of their choice learning about hero’s past and present. Pat and her puppy Windy, Larry and Cameo and Carole and Lexa presented two sessions all about dog guides and how they are trained and how they help their human partners. Each session allowed time for the students to ask questions and make comments about the dogs.

A good time was had by all, and the students and school presented each of the dogs a gift bag of goodies!
