We had a good representation of the Disability agencies. Rep. Henry Parkhurst who sponsored Fen's Law, read our 2006 Proclamation and spoke on Fen's law. Rep. Casey Crane who sponsored the Emergency Evacuation of Service Animal spoke on her bill which was f signed in July.I gave a brief history of the Dog Guide Users of NH, Gill Vickery spoke on Dog Guides, Linda Vayens spoke on her Assistant Dog and Tom Forry spoke on puppy raising. After the ceremony we gathered in front of the State House for pictures which will be used on our website. We enjoyed lunch in the State House Cafeteria and even had a birthday cake for Larry Ashford. His birthday falls on our Service Animals Awareness Day. The only disappointment was that we did not get anypress coverage. We did send press releases and made phone calls to the press but no one bothered to come. I want to thank everyone who worked on Service Animals Awareness Day and those who attended. Go to ourlegislation page to view 2006 Proclamation .signed by Governor Lynch. Carol and Lexa
